The Esama of Benin and Honorary Romanian consul to Edo and Delta States of Nigeria, His Excellency Sir Chief Dr Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, has been honoured by the University of Benin Alumni Association, UBTH branch, for outstanding and uncommon service to humanity, especially his immense contributions to the development of both human and infrastructural Development in the health care sector.

The Award was presented at a dinner and Award night held during the 104th council meeting and the formal inauguration of UBTH branch of UNIBEN Alumni Association.
