Concerns are mounting among electricity consumers over what they describe as a sharp increase in power costs, with many questioning the pricing system following the rollout of new prepaid meters by distribution companies.

While some blame the rapid depletion of units, others on estimated billing say they are burdened with charges they cannot justify.
