Residents of Benin City witnessed heightened security presence on Thursday, as the Edo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, staged a high-visibility “show of force” across major streets of the state capital.

The exercise, which signals zero tolerance for threats to public safety, is aimed at reassuring residents and deterring criminal activities ahead of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
