Reactions have continued to trail the directive by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, mandating the compulsory teaching of Edo indigenous languages in schools across the state.
The Governor’s decision follows the recent Federal Government education reform restricting schools to teaching only Nigeria’s three major languages — Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo — a policy that has sparked nationwide controversy.
