The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission has commenced a tour of the eighteen Local Government Areas of the state in preparation for the 2026 Local Government Elections.
Okhide Em’ya David reports that the Commission, led by its Chairman, Sir Jonathan Aifuobhokhan, has so far visited fifteen Local Government Areas across Edo North, Central, and South Senatorial Districts.
The exercise, he said, is aimed at ensuring a credible, free, and fair council election.
