Protesting residents of Iyowa Community in Ovia North-East LGA of Edo State blocked the Benin–Akure Road in the early hours of today, calling on government and security agencies to rescue them from kidnappers who, according to them, invade the community daily, abducting innocent citizens, demanding ransom, and killing others.
Pius Nsogho reports that the situation left many travellers stranded, as no motorist was allowed to move.
