Activities at major government offices in Edo State were largely subdued on the first working day after the New Year celebrations, as only a handful of civil servants resumed duty.

The usual hustle and bustle that characterise the Edo State Secretariat along Sapele Road, as well as the Civil Service Commission, were noticeably absent when the ITV news crew visited.
