As the world prepares to commemorate World Sickle Cell Day on June 19, members of the Edo Sickle Cell Club, Edo State Chapter, have begun advocacy visits to key stakeholders in a bid to raise awareness and strengthen support for persons living with the disorder.
One of such visits was to the Management of Independent Television and Radio, Benin City, where the club presented pressing challenges faced by sickle cell survivors in the state and emphasized the urgent need for increased government intervention and sustained media attention.
