The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission , EDSIEC, says it has postponed the meeting with political parties and other stakeholders earlier scheduled for to hold on Monday third of November 2025 as parts Activities for the 2026 Local Government Elections.
The Chairman Edo State Independent Electoral Commission,EDSIEC, Sir Jonathan Aifuobhokhan in a Statement he personally signed says the announcement is particularly for the interests of the general Public, Political Parties and other stakeholders
Sir Jonathan Aifuobhokhan announced that similarly the Conduct of Political Party Primaries , including bresolution of Disputes arising from the Prim,aries and observation by the EDSIEC earlier slated for the Tenth to twenty – Ninthof November 2025 have also been postponed .
The EDSIEC Boss says a new date for the Meeting and Subsequent activities on the 2026 local government Election timetable will be duly communicated in due course.
The Commission says it highly regrets any inconveniences the Postponement may have caused and appreciate the understanding and co-of all concerned partiesoperation
