The Edo State Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, Honourable Nosa Adams, Esq., has visited Edo North Senatorial District to sensitise members of the Association of Miners and Quarry Operators on newly enacted environmental laws aimed at curbing pollution and environmental degradation in the state.
The Commissioner, who was accompanied by directors from the Ministry, explained key provisions of the laws and warned operators of stiff penalties for non-compliance.
