As Edo State marks its 34th anniversary, the Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises, particularly in the areas of job creation, improved security, and sustainable development.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo described the indomitable spirit of the people of Edo State as unique and irreplaceable.
He reflected on the journey of the State since its creation on August 27, 1991and paid tribute to the founding fathers and past leaders whose vision and sacrifices have laid the groundwork for the progress the State has achieved.
The Governor highlighted the significant strides made in various sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development.
He noted that despite challenges, the state has consistently moved forward, driven by the collective determination of its people.
Governor Okpebholo used the occasion to call for greater unity among all residents, irrespective of their ethnic or political affiliations.
