The motion for the consideration of the 2026 Appropriation Bill was moved by the Majority Leader, Honourable Jonathan Ibhamawu, and seconded by the Minority Leader, Honourable Charity Aiguobarueghian.
During the debate, lawmakers voiced their support for the bill’s prompt passage, commending Governor Monday Okpebholo for the solid foundation laid in the 2025 fiscal year. They expressed confidence that the governor’s vision is aimed at giving the people of Edo State a new lease on life.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Honourable Blessing Agbebaku, noted that the budget estimates adequately capture critical areas of need in the state, particularly in the area of road infrastructure.
