The general public, relevant authorities, and stakeholders are notified that the Edo State Government has not awarded any contract for the Construction of 12km of Internal Roads in Esan Central Local Government Area, Irrua, Edo State, to Midmac Construction Nig.Ltd., Abuja, contrary to the false claims contained in a letter purportedly signed by reputable staff and submitted to the Ministry.
In a statement signed by the Functioning Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Edo State Engineer,Dr. J. O. Obanor stated unequivocally that the staff in question is a committed and reputable staff
member of the Ministry, has no involvement whatsoever in this fraudulent act. but added he is not authorized to issue such letters or documents.
According to the statement the Ministry affirms that the said correspondence did not originate from the Edo State Ministry of Works.He said
For any inquiries or clarifications regarding road construction contract awards, the public is advised to contact the Ministry of Works directly.
He said the Ministry strongly condemns this act of impersonation and deception, clearly intended to mislead the public and damage the Ministry’s reputation.
The statement added that Anyone found to be involved in such fraudulent activities will face the full weight of the law.
