A tanker loaded with diesel on Sunday afternoon overtuned and burst into flames in Iyana-Isolo area of the Apapa–Oshodi Expressway in Lagos.
Eye witnesses say the tanker skidded off the road, rammed into a commercial bus and fell into a roadside gutter before exploding.
The inferno consumed the tanker, a container trailer as commuters scramble for safety.
According to eyewitnesses, the tanker driver, who is currently receiving treatment, lost control while attempting to park the vehicle and collided with a commercial bus before skidding into a roadside gutter, leading to a fuel spillage and subsequent explosion.
