Delta State Police Command, has uncovered another illegal firearms manufacturing factory at Emuhu community in Ika South Local Government Area.
The illegal firearms manufacturing factory was discovered two years after father, mother, sister and brother were nabbed at Onicha Olona in a similar business.
The Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, SP Edafe made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Warri.
The Police Spokesperson said, operatives of the Raiders Squad, Delta State Police Command acting on credible intelligence arrested a suspected illegal firearms fabricator and recovered locally manufactured guns and equipment used in the production of firearms.
SP, Edafe said, during the raid of the firearms manufacturing factory on 6th March, 2026, led by Commander of the Raiders Squad, SP Akanga Agbogha arrested one Friday Ojei and recovered four locally fabricated guns, welding machine, drilling machine, grinding machine and assorted metal pipes suspected [to be] used for the fabrication of firearms.
The suspect is currently in police custody, while efforts are on to apprehend other members of the gang.
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Aina Adesola commended the professionalism and vigilance displayed by the operatives involved in the operations and urged members of the public to continue supporting the police with timely and credible information to rid the State of criminal elements.
