The Nigeria Customs Service, Kano–Jigawa Area Command, has intercepted smuggled goods worth over one billion Naira between January and March 2026.

The Acting Area Comptroller, Usman Umar Adamu, disclosed this during a press briefing in Kano, noting that the seizures were made through intelligence-driven operations and border surveillance across Kano and Jigawa states.
