The Executive Chairman, Akoko-Edo Local Government, Mr. Alabi Bliss. Oshonogie has congratulated the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Mr. Dennis Idahosa, on the validation of their victory at the September 21, 2024, Governorship election by the Supreme Court in a landmark judgement delivered on Thursday.
In a congratulatory message, Mr. Oshonogue applauded the Supreme Court judgment in affirming Senator Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected Governor of Edo State.
said the Supreme Court’s decision dismissing the application filed by the People’s Democratic Party and its candidate, Doctor Asue Ighodalo, is a true reflection of the will of the people.
The Executive Chairman, Akoko-Edo Local government, Mr. Oshonogue says the historic judgement is a clear testament in view of the overwhelming support Governor Okpebholo enjoys across the State and a reaffirmation of the collective will of the people of Edo State.
He urged the opposition to join hands with the People’s Governor to actualise the Mantra, a new Edo Rising.
According to Mr. Oshonogue, Edo State people should be ready to witness unprecedented socio-economic development in every sector in the State.
