All is now set for the celebration of the annual Emorho also known as New Yam festival in Benin kingdom.

A statement by the Obamedo of Benin and CPO, Chief Efosa Igbinomwanhia on behalf of the Royal Father says as part of activities marking the celebration of Emorho, His Royal Majesty, Ewuare the Second, Oba of Benin has invited all Edionwere( Village heads) and Okaighele( Youth leaders ) in the various villages in Benin Kingdom to the palace of the Oba of Benin for the Emorho feast scheduled for Saturday, Fourth of October, 2025 at 1pm
