The Head of the Catholic Church Worldwide, Pope Leo the Fourteenth, has acknowledged and given thanks to Almighty God for the gift of long life to the Esama of Benin and Honorary Romanian Consul to Edo and Delta States, Sir Chief Dr Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, as he celebrates his Ninety-First Birthday.

The Pope observed that his innumerable works of charity and development that he has carried out in service to humanity is unequalled.

A Congratulatory Message signed by Archbishop Michael F. Crotty, the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria and Ambassador of the Holy See, on behalf of the Pope, says the legacy of the Esama of Benin in education, community development, and interfaith harmony reflect the Gospel value of love and service, and prayed that the good Lord continue to sustain him with good health and peace of mind.

The Pope also sought that the joy of the Lord’s abiding presence continuously be with the Esama, adding that he should be assured of his prayers and blessings to him, all family members, and friends who gather to celebrate with him this great milestone of his 91st birthday.
