Residents of Benin City have reacted strongly to the failure of the management of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) to honour an invitation from the Edo State House of Assembly over the prolonged electricity supply challenges in the state.

While some residents insist that BEDC is not above the law, others called for punitive measures to compel the company to account for its stewardship to the people.
