The 56th Annual General and Scientific Meeting of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria has opened in Benin City, bringing together leading mental health professionals to examine gaps, opportunities, and future prospects within Nigeria’s mental health system.

Ofure Anetor reports that the meeting, declared open by the Esama of Benin, also attracted high-level delegates from across Nigeria and abroad, including the President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK.
