Ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC, local government primaries scheduled for tomorrow, hundreds of women from the seven local government areas in Edo South took to the streets of Benin City to protest what they describe as marginalisation in the party’s political process.
The women, drawn largely from Egor Local Government Area and neighbouring councils, carried placards with various inscriptions, calling on party leaders and the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to ensure fair representation for women in the upcoming elections.
