The leadership of APC Ward Seven in Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State has suspended two party members: Mr. Adolphus Arabamen Aletor, Special Senior Assistant to the Speaker, and Mr. Sylvester Okosun. The suspension follows the findings of an investigative committee set up to examine allegations of financial misappropriation and misconduct against the two members at the ward level.
In a statement signed by the Ward Seven leadership, including Chairman Job Ekpoma, Vice Chairman Obeto Stanley, Secretary Friday Akhere, Woman Leader Onosalese Magdalene, Youth Leader Aghahome Idahor, and other ward executives, it was disclosed that after careful consideration of the committee’s report, which indicted the individuals, both members have been suspended indefinitely from the party at the ward level.
The statement, which was also copied to the APC leadership at the local government, state chairman, senatorial leaders, and other state officials, emphasized that any actions that threaten party unity, bring disrepute, or demonstrate indiscipline will not be tolerated.
The leadership noted that sixteen considerations and the unanimous recommendation for indefinite suspension were thoroughly deliberated before reaching the decision.
