Senate Passes ₦819.5B 2022 Supplementary Budget.

The Senate today passed the 2022 Supplementary Budget of eight hundred and nineteen point five billion naira.

The passage followed a recommendation of the committee on Finance that the Senate approve the supplementary budget.

The supplementary budget is for the ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, FCT and Works.

President Muhammadu Buhari sought the passage of supplementary budget to be financed through additional domestic borrowing.

The President said it is to address food security following devastating floods across the country, as well as Damages to road infrastructure and water sector.
