Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has presented a 2022 budget appropriation estimate of four hundred and eighty-three point one-seven billion naira to the House of Assembly.
Christened Budget of Consolidation, the estimate has three hundred and fourteen point nine billion naira as capital expenditure and one hundred and forty-four point seven billion naira for recurrent expenditure.
Presenting the budget on the floor of the House, Governor Wike noted that the proposed 2022 Capital expenditure is seven billion naira higher than that of 2021.
He said the capital expenditure represents seventy percent of the total budget estimate while the recurrent expenditure represents thirty percent of the proposal.
