As part of his contributions to the development of Benin Club 1931, a member of the club and the Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the forthcoming Governorship Election in Edo State, Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, has built and donated a Clinic to meet the health needs of members.

Donald Ehimiyein reports the clinic was built in memory of the first indigenous president of the Benin Club, 1931, Senator Olu Akpata, was inaugurated by the grand patron of the Club and Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II.
