The Esama of Benin and Honorary Romanian Consul to Edo and Delta States, Sir, chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion has called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious background to pray for the solutions to the problems bedeviling the nation.
Chief Igbinedion made the call in a message he sent to Muslims on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Esama pointed out that Eid-el-Kabir celebration is important in the Islamic religion and advised Muslims to use the occasion for sober reflection and not only for wining and dining.
He urged Muslims to strive to live in peace with their neighbours and shun every tendency that can lead to rancour.
Chief Igbinedion said the oneness of the country is paramount and stressed the need for all to avoid all divisive tendencies.
The Esama advised Muslims and other Nigerians to join hands with government to find a lasting solution to the problem of insecurity in the country by providing relevant information to law enforcement agencies.
He congratulated Muslims for witnessing another Eid-el-Kabir celebration and advised them to use the occasion to draw closer to Allah.
Chief Igbninedion reminded the Muslims that another wave of COVID-19 is in the country and advised them to strictly fellow government’s protocol for the prevention of the disease as they participate in the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
