Edo state govt. provides lassa fever emergency protection centers

As the federal government declares an outbreak of Lassa fever in the country, Edo state government says the number of cases in the state significantly reduced following prompt measures out in place by government to prevent the disease.

The commissioner for Health, Doctor David Osifo who described the disease as endemic, disclosed that about two hundred and fifty cases were recorded in the state last year, mostly during the dry season.
