Troops on operation in Zamfara state have killed 12 terrorists and recovered many arms and ammunition.
The troops also destroyed the terrorist’s enclave during the operation that was conducted on Monday, April 15, in Maru Local Government Area.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, announced this in a statement on Tuesday, April 16.
Nwachukwu said the troops also recovered 10 motorbikes used for mobility by the terrorists, and 18 rustled cows.
The army spokesperson said the operation was one of the significant breakthroughs in the counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations in the northwest.
