Agitators of Yoruba nation have stormed Akure, Ondo state capital in their thousands for a rally.
The agitators under the auspices of Ilana Omo Oodua was led by Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, Popularly known as Sunday Igboho.
The Agitators converged on lsinkan Roundabout before marching to other parts of the state capital causing gridlock.
Masquerades, market women, youths, Commercial Motorcyclists also joined in the protest which now assumed a semblance of a Carnival.
There was a heavy presence of Security Agents to maintain law and order and prevent the Programme from being hijacked by miscreants.
Coordinators of the rally, Sunday Igboho and Igbakin Matthew said it was time for the southwest to be on its own.
Meanwhile, Ondo State governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Richard Olatunde reiterated that those agitating for the Yoruba Nation do not enjoy the support of the State Government.
