Senegal has booked their spot in the final of the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after sealing a one-nil victory over Egypt.

After a cagey first forty-five minutes, which saw few attempts on goal from both sides, Senegal came into the second half sustaining control over the encounter as they did in the first half.

Senegal talisman Sadio Mane broke the deadlock in the seventy-eighth minute with a fine strike from outside the box, which beat Egypt goalkeeper, Mohamed El Shenawy.

The Teranga Lions held on to the lead despite late pressure from the Pharaohs and sealed the win, which confirmed their place in the final.

Senegal will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Nigeria and Morocco in the final.
