Achieving FG’s Mandate: HRM, Omo N’oba N’edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Backs Noun VC, Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma-Led Management Team
His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare the Second, Oba of Benin has expressed solidarity with the Management team of National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, in realizing the institution’s vision and mission statements, which it was established by the federal government.
Omo N’Oba N’Edo, who is the Chancellor of the University said this when he received the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Uduma Oji Uduma-led Management team at his Palace in Benin City.
The first Class traditional ruler, prayed almighty God and Ancestors to bestow on the Management staff and Principal officers of the institution divine wisdom in piloting the affairs of the institution into international reckoning.
The royal father also acknowledged the long-standing leadership of the outgone Vice Chancellor of NOUN, Professor Olufemi Peters and his achievements during his tenure in the institution.
Oba Ewuare the Second, assured that he will continuously carryout his responsibility as Chancellor as he look up to the forthcoming Convocation of NOUN, with the Nigeria University with highest students population.
Addressing the sacred Benin throne earlier, the Vice Chancellor of NOUN, Professor Uduma Iji Uduma, who was formally introduced to Oba Ewuare the Second by his predecessor, Professor Olufemi Peters, expressed delight over the visit, while describing the Benin monarch as a beacon of inspiration to NOUN.
