There are indications that the abandoned drainage project, designed to channel flood from Ugbowo axis through Upper Benin Technical College Road, Benin City to Ikpoba River, is threatening the existence of schools, houses, and access roads in the area.
Williams Yamah, who was on a fact-finding mission in the area, reports that the situation has been further compounded with the emergence of a ravaging gully.
